Question 1

What is My Beauty Swap?

Accepted Answer

My Beauty Swap lets verified beauty professionals provide treatments, earn points and use them for treatments with other members. Simply create your profile, complete verification, list the treatments you offer, and browse treatments from other verified members. When you provide a treatment, you earn points, which you can then use to enjoy treatments from other professionals on the platform. It's a simple way to experience more treatments, discover new services, connect with other beauty professionals and enjoy being the client, all without paying for the treatment itself.

Question 2

How does My Beauty Swap work?

Accepted Answer

It's simple! - Join for free and create your profile. - Verify your qualifications so members know they can swap with confidence. - List the treatments you offer. - Earn points by providing treatments to other verified members. - Use your points to enjoy treatments from other beauty professionals. My Beauty Swap makes it easy to experience more treatments, discover new services, connect with like-minded professionals and enjoy being the client, all using points rather than paying for the treatment itself.

Question 3

Is My Beauty Swap free to join?

Accepted Answer

Yes! My Beauty Swap is completely free to join. When you become a member, you can receive 190 points when you join, ready to use for a swap once you are verified. There are no membership fees. When you book a swap, you'll simply pay a 5.99% service fee (minimum A$5, or the same amount in your local currency), which helps us securely manage the platform, process payments, provide member support and continue improving My Beauty Swap. You pay whichever is higher, never both. That means you can enjoy treatments from other verified beauty professionals without paying them directly for the treatment itself.

Question 4

Who can join?

Accepted Answer

My Beauty Swap is exclusively for verified beauty professionals. Whether you work from a salon, clinic, home studio or as a mobile professional, you're welcome to join if you hold recognised qualifications in your field. To help maintain a trusted community, all members must complete our verification process before they can create treatments, request swaps or connect with other members. This ensures every swap takes place between genuine beauty professionals, giving members confidence and peace of mind.

Question 5

How do I join?

Accepted Answer

Joining My Beauty Swap is quick and easy. - Create your free account. - Complete your profile so other members can learn about you. - Upload your qualifications (or return and upload them later). - Once verified, list your treatments, earn points and start swapping with verified beauty professionals. As a welcome gift, you can receive 190 points when you join, ready to use for a swap once you are verified, so you can start your My Beauty Swap journey straight away.

Question 6

How does verification work?

Accepted Answer

To keep My Beauty Swap safe and trusted, every member must verify their qualifications. Simply upload your qualifications during sign up (or return and upload them later). Once approved, you'll receive a Verified badge and unlock the full platform, including offering and requesting swaps, messaging other members, and earning and spending points. Verification helps ensure every member can swap with confidence, knowing they're connecting with genuine, qualified beauty professionals.

Question 7

What are points?

Accepted Answer

Points are the currency used within My Beauty Swap. Points are how treatments are exchanged on My Beauty Swap. You earn them by providing treatments to other verified members, then use them on treatments you'd like to receive. 1 Point = $1 of treatment value. You can also receive 190 points when you join, ready to use for a swap once you are verified, helping you get started on your swapping journey. It's a simple, fair way for beauty professionals to experience more treatments while recognising the value of each other's skills.

Question 8

How do points work?

Accepted Answer

You earn Points by providing treatments to other verified members, and you spend them when booking treatments you'd like to receive. Every treatment has a Point value based on its price, making it a simple and fair way to exchange services without paying another member directly for the treatment.

Question 9

Do points expire?

Accepted Answer

No. Your points do not expire while your account remains active and in good standing. You can save your points and use them whenever you're ready to book a treatment with another verified beauty professional.

Question 10

What happens if I don't have enough points?

Accepted Answer

If you don't have enough points to request a treatment, don't worry. You can earn additional points by providing treatments to other verified members, completing eligible member challenges and rewards, or purchasing additional points at any time through your account. Be sure to keep an eye on your Reward Hub and Notifications (top right corner of your dashboard) for monthly challenges, bonus Point opportunities, rewards and other exciting ways to grow your points. This gives you multiple ways to build your points and continue enjoying treatments on My Beauty Swap.

Question 11

How do swaps work?

Accepted Answer

Once you're verified, simply browse available treatments and request a swap with another member. The provider can then review your request and either accept, decline or suggest a different appointment time. Once a swap is accepted and confirmed, you'll be ready to enjoy your treatment and start experiencing everything My Beauty Swap has to offer.

Question 12

What happens after I request a swap?

Accepted Answer

After you submit your request, the provider will review it and can: - Accept one of your preferred appointment times. - Suggest a different time if they're unavailable. - Decline the request. If your request is accepted, you'll receive both an email and an in-app notification. To confirm your booking, simply pay the small 5.99% service fee (minimum A$5). You pay whichever is higher, never both. For example, a 100 Point treatment has a service fee of A$5.99, and a 50 Point treatment has the A$5 minimum. In the UK the minimum is £5, in the US US$5 and in New Zealand NZ$5. Once payment is complete, your appointment is confirmed and will appear in your My Swaps page. That's it! Your booking is confirmed, your points are secured, and you're ready to enjoy your treatment.

Question 13

Can I choose my own appointment times?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When requesting a swap, you can suggest up to three appointment times that suit you. The provider can: - Accept one of your suggested times. - Decline the request. - Suggest an alternative appointment if none of your preferred times are available. Once the provider accepts a time, you'll receive both an email and an in-app notification. Simply confirm your booking by completing the service fee payment, and your appointment will be secured. You'll also be able to message the provider directly if you need to discuss your appointment.

Question 14

Can I swap with members in other cities or countries?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can swap with verified members anywhere My Beauty Swap is available. Whether they're in your local area, another city or another country, you're free to connect and arrange swaps.

Question 15

How do I complete my profile?

Accepted Answer

After creating your account, complete your profile by adding your professional details, bio, profile photo and any treatment photos you'd like to share. A complete profile helps other members get to know you and increases your chances of receiving swap requests. You can update your profile at any time, and if you haven't already uploaded your qualifications, you can do so later from your dashboard. Once your qualifications are approved, you'll receive a Verified badge and unlock the full My Beauty Swap experience.

Question 16

What are Badges?

Accepted Answer

Badges recognise your achievements and activity within My Beauty Swap. As you reach milestones and contribute to the community, you'll unlock badges that appear on your profile, helping other members see your experience and involvement on the platform. They're a fun way to celebrate your journey and build trust within the My Beauty Swap community.

Question 20

How do reviews work?

Accepted Answer
